The re-beginning

Okay.... so it's been well over 2 years since I've posted a blog here...
My blog is titled "Pickletelligence!" I've named it after my best friend - -
His is name is "PICLED POWER"! He is a retired race-horse
... a.k.a. an "O.T.T.B" = " Off The Track Thoroughbred" ....

His Dam (Mother) is "Vinegar Lil" and who's
Sire is: "Din's Dancer" who came in #13 at the Kentucky Derby on May 7 1988, the year that "Winning Colors" won the race with the legendary Gary Stevens at the reins.
Din's Dancer won 11 of 50 career starts with 13 seconds and five thirds for $537,979 in earnings. He enjoyed his best season as a five-year-old in 1990, winning seven of 17 starts, including the Fast Hilarious Handicap, Canterbury Breeders' Cup Handicap, and Beaulah Park Breeders' Cup Handicap. He also set track records at 1 1/16 miles at Keeneland Race Course and Beulah Park during his career.

Now "Pickle" is enjoying a relaxed life of leisure in Chino, CA at the Prado Equestrian Center where his younger brother "Buster B. Quick" also hangs out. Pickle and Buster are brothers of different fathers and the difference in their personalities is remarkable... Of course Pickle is the more rambunctious and he teaches me as much as I try to teach him!
What Pickle teaches me most profoundly is "Patience"... This is something I have always lacked... With a stomp of the front left hoof he reminds me just how little patience we both have inherently! Working with him in the arena is a growing experience for both of us.....

More on this blog will follow soon!
